Family Travel Savings Tips
When travelling with your family, expenses can add up quickly. That’s why we are excited to share our collective travel tips, to help you benefit from services ‘not necessarily’ advertised at hotels.
Before leaving on vacation, inquire whether the following relevant services are offered from your hotel, and if so if they are complimentary or available for a fee. It is all part of the preparations and knowing what/how to pack and whether renting a car is necessary.
Travel Questions:
a) Is a shuttle supplied from the airport to the hotel?
b) Is a shuttle supplied from the hotel into the city or to shopping/attractions?
c) Is early check-in or late check-out available? If not, can baggage be stored at the hotel on the same day?
d) Is valet parking mandatory or is a self-park option available?
e) Are bed rails and/or a crib offered for the room?
f) Can a small refrigerator be added to the room?Â
g) Is there a microwave oven in the room?
Finally, I would suggest reading hotel reviews on www.tripadvisor.com, www.expedia.ca, www.travel.yahoo.com and/or www.travelocity.com, to find tips from other travelers who have taken the time to share their experiences.
