'Earth Appreciation |
|
The
Peace Book by Todd Parr is a wonderful way to introduce children to ways in
which we can appreciate the world, help each other and embrace our
differences. Bright illustrations convey important messages to children
relating to the different meanings of peace in a meaningful way. Peace is
described in terms including: "Peace is giving shoes to
someone who needs them, Peace is listening to different kinds of music,
Peace is watching it snow." Consider The Peace Book as a way to celebrate
Earth Hour with your
family on March 29. Learn more at either www.toddparr.com or www.chapters.indigo.ca. |
| New
Production Company |
Toronto has a new
theatre company, and it has opened to rounds of applause -
Dancap Productions has already built up a dedicated following in its first season. |
 |
Consider tickets to a Dancap production for a date or
friends' night out. While The Drowsy Chaperone and Spelling Bee have already
finished successful runs, there are still tickets available for four more shows - 3 Mo'
Divas (Mar 4 through 16), My Fair Lady (May 8 to 31), Avenue Q (July 29 to
August 31) and Jersey Boys (beginning August 21). As one of the world's
centres for theatre, Toronto has clearly made room for another exciting
addition to our city's cultural scene. Learn more at www.dancaptickets.com.
